Strike Action
on
Thursday, 24th April
You will remember that I wrote to you earlier this week about the national strike action being threatened by the NUT, one of the teaching unions.
I have now received official confirmation that members of the NUT will be on strike on Thursday, 24th April.
This will mean that there will be disruption in school, with most classes not able to attend. Year groups affected are for the whole day, except Year 1 who should attend in the afternoon only.
The following classes and groups will NOT be able to attend school on Thursday, 24th April as there will be no teachers to teach them:
Reception
Year 1 morning only
Year 3
Year 4
Year 5
All other classes and groups must attend school, as normal.
School is open for the following year groups:
Nursery
Year 1 afternoon only (1.00pm start)
Year 2
Year 6
All classes must attend school as normal on Friday 25th April.
I understand from reports in the press that there may be further instances of strike action. At the moment I have received no official notification about these proposed strike days.
As soon as I am informed, I will let you know, giving you as much notice as possible.
Thank you for your help.
