May Bank Holiday
School will not be open on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May 2008.
School will close for the holiday weekend on Friday 2nd May at 3.15pm.
School will open after the bank holiday on Tuesday 6th May 2008 at 9.00am.
Parent Governor
Following the resignation of a Parent Governor because of a house move, there is currently a vacancy on the Governing Body for a Parent Representative. There are four other Parent Representatives. I will shortly be sending out nomination forms and would ask parents to seriously consider putting their names forward when the forms are sent out.
If you would like any more information please feel free to contact me.
Year 6 SAT tests
The year 6 SAT tests take place during the week beginning May 12th. It is essential that all Year 6 pupils attend for the whole week as there are tests every day. Please avoid booking trips/holidays/hospital visits for this time and let’s keep the children healthy! Children who miss any part of a test cannot take the test again on another day. If a child misses any part of a test they will not receive a level for that subject.
Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 Milk Money
Please call at the office if you still need to pay for your child’s milk. The charge is £3.00 per term.
No further strikes arranged at this time
A number of parents have asked me if another strike has been organised by the NUT. There is no strike arranged currently and parents can rest assured that I will inform them as soon as I become aware of any more action which may affect Brownhill.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s schooling at Brownhill.
Thank you.
