Governing Body

The Governing Body plays a vital role at Brownhill. It is made up completely of volunteers and meets regularly to discuss issues important to the running of the school. Governors are also welcome to come into school at any time to join in the day-to-day activities and to keep an eye on how things are going.

Each governor is assigned to a class and follows that class all the way through to when the children leave. That way they get a chance to become familiar with the curriculum in every year and gain an understanding into how the school operates, its good points and the areas in which it could improve.

Governors come from every walk of life and are meant to reflect the school and its community. We have parents, staff and members of the community.

Should you wish to become a governor please contact the school to find out if there are any vacancies. You do not need any special skills or expertise - just a desire to get involved and help Brownhill become an even better school.
